Why Do I Feel Emptiness Toward My Husband of 10 Years? What Should I Do? I Love Him, But... How Can I Get That Chemistry Back?

Why Do I Feel Emptiness Toward My Husband of 10 Years? What Should I Do? I Love Him, But... How Can I Get That Chemistry Back?

  1. Start a 30-day journal – Be completely honest with yourself about your feelings. If you're not, you're wasting your energy and my words.
  2. Remember the first day you met – Write down how you felt. Was it chemistry? Attraction? Was it because he was handsome or successful? Be honest with yourself.
  3. Did you feel pressure to stay? – Did you feel a sense of urgency to settle down? Were you afraid of getting older or running out of time?
  4. Why did you fall in love? – Was it his personality, his career, his intelligence, or the way he made you feel proud?
  5. Was there family pressure? – Did outside influences push you to keep dating him?
  6. Reflect on your love and marriage – You’ve stayed married for 10 years, possibly with children. What made you stay? What has kept your love growing?
  7. List what you love about him – Focus on his strengths and what you cherish. Be proud of the man he is, not what’s missing.
  8. Add a non-negotiable date night – Once a week, dress up as if you're attending a black-tie event. If the budget allows, book a hotel with champagne. The only rule: No discussions about work, kids, or home responsibilities.
  9. Revisit old memories – Keep that list of cherished moments handy. Laugh together and create new memories. Rekindle your connection and make love under the stars.
  10. Create experiences he loves – Listen to what brings him joy and plan events around that. Let him know what makes you happy too—give him hints to surprise you. Ask for flowers or whatever you desire.

After the 30 days, continue this practice. Keep bringing new ideas into your relationship. Remember, being in love is a lifelong journey, not just a phase.
